Abstract: Aedes aegypti reproduction is an important process as it is directly related to vectorial capacity. However, reproduction is a complex process that requires numerous interactions between the sexes, including pre-mating behavioral interactions and post-mating molecular interactions, each essential for the successful generation of progeny. Given that Ae. aegypti population control programs aim to exploit processes of reproduction, understanding the intricacies of reproduction is more important than ever.
