Abstract: Mosquito control on the southwest coast of Louisiana is a dilemma in itself. The task requires flexible, innovative, adaptive skills to address the ever changing landscape of the surrounding mosquito propagation territory. A fully capable, trained, outfitted staff will have little issue implementing the appropriate integrated mosquito management program. A program with staffing issues could fall short of delivering fully appropriate control implementations. Program resources, available workforce and training access are potential limiting factors to a program's capabilities as well as others. Regardless of the changing landscape, limited resources, at the end of the day; hard decisions are made in the best interest of public health protection.
