Abstract: To ensure products are being applied at the appropriate application rate, droplet size, and swath it is important to understand what a mosquito control product does once it is released into the environment. Evaluating drift and deposition of aerial applications using mosquito adulticides requires large-scale field studies to determine the dispersal range and height of the spray material from all types of aircraft. The objective of these studies is to determine that the spray particles remain airborne and avoid depositing on the ground throughout a pre-determined spray line. This presentation reviews the methods and tools to conduct these evaluations with and the data collected from aerial applications at different altitudes for both ReMoa Tri and Dibrom.
