Abstract: The East Flagler Mosquito Control District (EFMCD) has had the privilege of becoming the first mosquito control entity to leverage Ring Neighbors as a Verified User. Ring Neighbors, a platform that fosters community-based crime and safety awareness, enables verified agencies to share important information directly with residents. By utilizing this pilot program, EFMCD has enhanced its communication efforts, providing real-time updates on mosquito control activities, public health alerts, and tips for reducing mosquito breeding grounds. EFMCD continues its commitment to integrated mosquito management by utilizing modern technology with public engagement; this will improve both the effectiveness of mosquito control efforts and the transparency to the local community.
