Abstract: Maricopa County is 9,400 sq miles in size and has a vast network of underground systems that provide ideal habitats for mosquito activity. Treating these sites is always a challenge as it is hard to figure the depth, length, and amount of organic material at each spot. When you include that we had the hottest summer ever recorded here, an annual rainfall of just 7 inches, and the total land area covered, this product was exposed to many different environments. We tested a new larvicidal product, Sumilarv 0.5G, and this talk will discuss the results from this project.
