In Mexico, since 2023, there has been a significant increase in the number of Dengue cases, attributed to the simultaneous circulation of the four serotypes, but in particular, to the predominance of serotype 3, which had not been recorded in our country for more than 20 years, at a percentage greater than 85%. This has exacerbated the presence of clinical cases with manifestations of warning signs and/or serious cases and an increase in lethality. As a result, the Prevention and Control Program identified the need to consolidate the network of experts in the clinical management of patients with Dengue and provide training to state networks. Faced with this challenge, the Program in Mexico implemented Innovative Strategies for the timely detection of outbreaks, through the weekly issuance of the Alert Bulletin in the risk locations that historically report cases and the generation of historical HotSpots in persistent areas and carrying out comprehensive control actions in the hot areas until they are contained. The program has been adapted to implement proactive actions since the first quarter of the year, which also includes the use of new technologies such as Wolbachia.
