In undergrad I majored in Biology. Later, studying in Mexico and Argentina, I received my masters and PhD in Management and Conservation of Tropical Natural Resources. I got a postdoctoral position at Colorado State University in Dengue Prevention and Control. Over all these years, I have been studying different groups of insects regarding taxonomy, ecology, and systematics. Currently I work for The National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT) and have been assigned to develop a project at the Autonomous University of Yucatan (UADY). I am member of the Mexican National Research System. My current line of research focuses on determining the impact of insecticide resistance on metabolism in Aedes aegypti and Wolbachia for biocontrol of mosquitoes.
