Lauren is a second-year graduate student pursuing her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health. This past summer, Lauren worked with the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment as their Communicable Disease Intern, helping to analyze mosquito abundance and vector index trends in Northern Colorado, targeting the mitigation of West Nile Virus through enhanced mosquito trapping and data reporting. Her academic interests include infectious disease epidemiology, health equity, and emergency response and preparedness. She is passionate about using data-driven approaches to protect public health and reduce the burden of communicable diseases in vulnerable communities.
