Dr. Davila-Barboza obtained his bachelor's degree as a Parasitological Bacteriologist Chemist in 2010 and his Doctor of Science with an emphasis in Medical Entomology in 2016, both from the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. He belongs to the National System of Researchers as a Candidate. He has experience as an international Monitoring and Evaluation consultant. His research is directed at triatomine vectors of Chagas disease in Mexico, mainly in determining mechanisms related to resistance to insecticides with the aim of improving strategies for vector control.
