Graduate Student
The Ohio State University, Ohio, United States
I am a graduate student in Dr. Piermarini’s lab at Ohio State University, where I focus on characterizing the repellent, toxic, and synergistic effects of plant compounds on Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. I earned my B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce in 2024. Originally from Yauco, Puerto Rico, my passion for biology was sparked by my fascination with the relationships between humans and the environment. This led me to develop a strong interest in medical entomology and chemical ecology. Through my research, I aim to tackle global health challenges posed by insect-borne diseases and explore the intricate chemical signals that influence insect behaviors, all while contributing to biodiversity preservation and public health.
