Dr. Olivia Winokur is a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Davis where she works with the Pacific Southwest Center of Excellence in Vector-borne Diseases to enhance public health entomology training in the region. She is passionate about making sure that all the great science we do gets translated into data-driven public health action. She completed her PhD in Entomology at UC Davis in 2022 as a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow working with Dr. Christopher Barker. Her dissertation focused on the impact of temperature on Aedes aegypti behavior and Zika virus transmission risk.
