124 - Synchronicity of miRnomics and Metabolomics During the Aedes aegypti Life Cycle

Abstract: The life cycle of Aedes aegypti is regulated by microRNAs (miRNAs) and metabolomic changes in amino acids and acylcarnitines. This study used next-generation sequencing (NGS) and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) to profile miRNAs and metabolites across six life stages. miRNAs regulate key processes like development and metamorphosis, while metabolomic shifts reflect significant physiological changes. These insights provide a deeper understanding of the regulatory mechanisms in Ae. aegypti and suggest new approaches for biological control strategies.
