Ademir J. Martins is a researcher at FIOCRUZ-IOC and is specializing in insect vector genetics and their impact on human pathogens. Since 2008, he has served as Vice-Chief of the Laboratory of Biology, Control, and Surveillance of Vector Insects at IOC, where his research supports the Ministry of Health’s vector control efforts. He has co-authored over 50 articles and led key projects on insecticide resistance in Brazil and beyond. Additionally, he mentors master’s and PhD students and is actively engaged in public education, promoting awareness about mosquito biology and arbovirus control. Ademir Martins has been a member of the WIN network since 2016 and co-founded the WINSA network in 2024.
