Alexandros Pavlakis is a graduate of Tulane University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He has worked with the City of New Orleans Mosquito, Termite, and Rodent Control Board since 2019. As an entomologist, he currently manages field research projects, weekly arbovirus and mosquito surveillance, and mosquito abatement efforts for Orleans Parish. He also supervises the mosquito larval habitat monitoring program throughout the parish, with a specific focus in discarded waste tires.
