She holds a degree in Biological Sciences (Teaching and Bachelor’s) from the Federal University of Uberlândia, a Master’s in Genetics and Biochemistry from the same institution (2006), and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from São Paulo State University (2011), all focused on pest ants. She was a Teaching Fellow in Molecular Biology at UNESP Rio Claro for four semesters. She conducted a postdoctoral project at the Molecular Evolution Laboratory (UNESP), funded by FAPESP, aimed at identifying genes related to speciation through a transcriptomic approach. Currently, she is a Public Health Technologist at FIOCRUZ, developing research projects at the Laboratory of Biology, Control, and Surveillance of Insect Vectors (LBCVIV), focusing on the biology, control, and surveillance of vector mosquitoes and insecticide resistance. She also serves as a Quality Manager, implementing GLP in the lab, and is a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Vector Surveillance and Control (CAPES 4) at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute. Additionally, she collaborates on projects with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
