Dr. Rojas-Verde obtained his bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering (1998) in the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosí. She has a master’s degree in Microbiology (2000) and PhD in Biotechnology (2010) both from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León. She is a full time-teacher at the Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas (UANL) and a research-professor in the Instituto de Biotecnología. Leads the search of innovative ideas for the use of actinomycetes in different areas of biotechnology like biological control against Aedes aegypti and in industrial biotechnology using actinomycetes as a tool for biosorption of different toxic compounds.
