Manager of the Tiger Mosquito control and Public Health Unit - Medical Entomologist
EID Méditerranée, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
I've been working on West Nile virus vectors and the surveillance and control of Aedes albopictus and the transmission of dengue, chikungunya and zika for some twenty years at EID méditerranée, Europe's largest and oldest public mosquito control operator. I coordinated the surveillance and control of the Asian Tiger mosquito between 2010 and 2020 on behalf of the French Ministry of Health. My team oversees the application of vector control treatments against arbovirus epidemics in southern France, and conducts research and evaluation of the efficacy and applicability of preventive control strategies on the mediterranean coast.
