263 - AMCA Drone Program Update 2025

Abstract: The AMCA Drone Program aims to decrease the barriers for drone use and encourage the mosquito control community to embrace this technology and better protect public health. For more information visit https://www.mosquito.org/uas/ The AMCA has been working on developing a program to support AMCA members who are planning to use or are using unmanned aircraft system (UAS or drones) in their mosquito control programs. This project was rolled out at the AMCA meeting last year in Dallas, however, we are still waiting for FAA to approve regulatory exemptions. This presentation will provide updates on the development of the AMCA drone program, progress on regulatory exemptions, and general discussion of the state of the drone industry as it relates to mosquito control agencies.
